Job Details:

• Work 36 hours per week in the Neuro Critical Care Unit (NCCU)
• Float to SICU and other critical care units as needed
• Work in a 10-bed critical care unit serving as the only Neuro Critical Care Unit in Northern New England
• Care for primary stroke center patients including ischemic strokes with thrombectomy and TPA, hemorrhagic strokes with ventriculostomies and emergent evacuations
• Provide care for neurosurgery patients including tumor resections and brain/spine abscesses
• Manage neuro-medical patients with conditions such as meningitis, encephalitis, and neuro-muscular disorders
• Float to 18-bed SICU caring for surgical, trauma, neuro, plastics, multiple organ failure, and sepsis patients
• Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ICP monitoring
• Care for ventilated patients requiring pressors, inotropes, and vasoactive medications
• Assist with line insertion and maintenance for post-surgical patients
• Manage ventriculostomies, lumbar drains, bolts, and EVDs
• Monitor PA lines and perform waveform interpretation
• Critical care experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
