RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work 3 12-hour shifts with guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
• 3 weekend shifts required per schedule period
• Care for post-operative knee, hip and shoulder replacement patients
• Manage trauma patients and some neuro overflow cases
• Work with traction, fixators, and cooling equipment
• Use Meditech documentation system
• Support available from unit secretary and PCTs
• Perform bedside shift reports and hourly rounding for patient experience
• Contract labor is first to float to other MedSurg level units (General MS, Nephrology, Neuro/Trauma)
• Required certifications: RN license, BLS
• Advanced skills needed: Orthopedic experience, telemetry, NIH stroke scale
• Dress code: Navy scrubs required
• Work on 23-bed orthopedic/trauma unit
