A healthcare facility in Seattle, WA is seeking a full-time Vascular Nurse Practitioner with specialized experience in cardiac surgery and first assisting in the OR. The role involves assisting in adult cardiac surgeries, endoscopic vein harvesting, and providing secondary call coverage, with additional responsibilities including floor and ICU coverage. Certification, active licensure, and advanced cardiac life support credentials are required, with preference for candidates experienced with Cerner EMR.

- Full-Time Commitment: Seeking full-time availability (4 weeks per month), working 5x8-hour shifts (8 AM 4 PM), though 4x10-hour shifts will be considered.
- Surgical Focus: The primary duty is Cardiac Surgery OR first assisting and endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) utilizing the Vasoview/Maquet system. The team typically handles 2 OR rooms with 2-3 cases per day.
- Case Types: Adult cardiac surgery including CABG, AVR, MVR, and Aorta. No thoracic or transplant cases.
- Call Structure (Secondary): Call is light, as in-house residents take primary calls. The PA is on secondary call for the resident and for emergency OR cases.
- Weeknight Call: 1 weeknight per month (6 PM 6 AM).
- Weekend Call: Rounding is required (until complete, approximately 6 hours), then on-call from off-campus (6 AM 6 AM).
- Inpatient Bonus: We offer additional consideration for candidates who can also cover floor, ICU, and rounding duties.
- Team Environment: You will join a supportive Cardiac Team, working with 3 surgeons and 3 other PAs, plus a floor resident and clinic nurses.
- Certification: NCCPA Certified is REQUIRED.
- Experience: Cardiac surgery OR first assist and endoscopic vein harvesting experience is mandatory.
- Licensure: An Active Washington (WA) license is HIGHLY PREFERRED. We will consider non-licensed candidates who can obtain an active license by the start date.
- Certifications: Active ACLS and DEA are REQUIRED.
- EMR: Experience with Cerner is preferred.
- Target Start Date: January 29, 2026.
- Credentialing: The process takes approximately 3 months.
