RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Work on 24-bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located on 3S floor
• Patient ratio of 1:3
• Day shift staffing: 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, and unit secretary for 24 patients
• Night shift staffing: 1 charge nurse and 8 RNs for 24 patients
• 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week schedule
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Must have accountability for actions and knowledge of cardiac drips (Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Cardizem)
• 6 months PCU experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills with patients and interdisciplinary team required
• Equipment used: Baxter IV pumps, Hillrom, iMobile with Apple, telemetry
• Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
• Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
• Float to Med-Surg/telemetry and Orthopedic units as needed
• Care for post-operative cardiac patients including CABG, valve repairs, LVAD, and VATS procedures
• Manage pre/post catheterization lab and EP procedures (pacemaker/AICD, heart caths, PCIs, TAVR)
• Assist with bedside procedures including paracentesis, thoracentesis, and PICC insertion
• Must be caring and function as a great team player
