Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a KY or compact RN license and strong L&D skills.

Responsibilities

• Work on the Labor & Delivery unit in a hospital setting
• Patient care involves laboring mothers and newborns
• Shift is 19:00-07:30 with a 36/48 hour biweekly schedule
• Meditech EMR is used on the unit
• Ratios may fluctuate depending on patient census and staffing
• Orientation is held bi-weekly for new staff
• Travel pairs are not permitted unless there are extenuating circumstances on the unit
• No local candidates will be considered due to the 100-mile radius rule
• Holiday and weekend shifts may be required based on unit needs
• A copy of Driver’s License and two references are required for consideration

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 5 years current Labor & Delivery nursing experience
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP (AHA), and NIH Stroke Scale
• Intermediate AWHONN Fetal Monitoring proficiency required
• Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility for consideration
