Opportunity:
RN - ICU Stepdown
Job Details:
• Work D/E/N rotating shift schedule including weekends and holidays
• On-call and callback responsibilities as needed
• Charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs
• Must have stepdown/PCU experience
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Two years of nursing experience required
• Experience required with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains, 3%NS and cardene drips, arterial lines
• Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion (Deep Brain Stimulator), VP shunts, and seizures
• Telemetry experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only), ACLS (American Heart Association only)
• New York RN license required (NY licenses only accepted)
• Provide competent care based on established standards under direction of Nurse Manager
• Assume expanded role including preceptor and committee member responsibilities
• Focus on clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and evidence-based practice
