Unit: L&D/PP- # L&D Beds: 14 beds - # triage beds: 6 triage beds, 2 OR suites- # Postpartum beds: 28 beds - # births per day, per year: 250 births per month- Certs: ACLS, BLS, Fetal HM - AWOHNN (adv) for L&D, BLS, NRP required for Postpartum - Ratios: 2 to 1 laboring, follow AWOHNN guidelines, 1 to 4 couplet care - FHM System: Fetal Link - EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: yes - they try not to take a patient assignment - Nurse Aides/OB tech: OB tech - yes, day and night shift - Weekend Requirement: every other - Call Requirement: no - may have to be on standby - Holidays: they will work them in with perm staff rotation - Scrub Color: Nurses - navy for PP, ob tech and L&D nurses - seal blue (provided) - Tele: Phillips - Vents: No - OB/Neonataologist in house: No but available if needed - IV Team: No - RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7: Yes- Shifts: 12 hr shifts - 7a-7p or 7p-7a- C-section experience required: Will be required to circulate for c-sections. Scrubbing experience is preferred. - Floating: They will have to float to postpartum, PP will NOT have to float to L&D- Floor specific orientation: 3 shifts - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: any gestational age, antepartum, high risk deliveries, substance abuse, pre-eclampsia, insulin dependent diabetics Cancellation Policy:Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 Charting System:Cerner BSN Required:No License to Submit:Yes Trauma Level:3 Care Setting:Acute Division: Shift Notes:7p-7a, EOW first to float Required Certifications:ACLS, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, BLS, COVID Vaccine Required, NRP Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
