What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing proper judgment and protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help maintain order and protect property.
- Maintain detailed and accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and local law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns and emergencies.
- Carry and responsibly handle authorized firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site-specific requirements.
- Remain alert and observant to help identify potential risks and/or hazards within the healthcare environment.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- An armed guard card or license is required.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
