The AVP of Risk Management Client Analytics will lead a high-performing team of analysts dedicated to supporting Gallagher Bassett’s largest and most sophisticated clients. As a key leader within the Consultative Analytics team, this role is responsible for driving actionable insights, delivering tailored analytics solutions, and fostering innovation to meet the complex needs of risk management clients—who collectively represent a significant portion of the organization’s revenue.
This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong analytical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The AVP will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities for program improvement, developing data-driven recommendations, and presenting insights to senior executives and clients. Approximately 30% travel is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Team Oversight:
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Oversee the delivery of customized analytics solutions for risk management clients, ensuring alignment with client goals and organizational priorities.
- Provide guidance on complex analyses, ensuring a hypothesis-driven approach that delivers actionable insights.
- Client-Focused Analytics & Insights:
- Identify program improvement opportunities through rigorous trend analysis, benchmarking, and scorecard reviews.
- Develop and deliver analytical insights, including root cause analysis and actionable recommendations, in collaboration with internal subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Guide the creation of KPI dashboards and executive-level reporting tailored to client-specific priorities.
- Executive Communication & Client Engagement:
- Package insights into polished, executive-ready presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Actively participate in client presentations, serving as a trusted advisor and analytics expert.
- Generate industry insights and thought leadership to support client service teams and enhance client relationships.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Gallagher Bassett’s solutions through rigorous outcome analysis, adjusting for variables to ensure accurate assessments.
- Conduct primary and secondary research to address complex business questions and identify data requirements.
- Oversee the development of tools and technology to enhance analytics capabilities and streamline processes.
- Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise:
- Draft white papers and thought leadership pieces on emerging trends impacting the insurance and workers’ compensation industries.
- Stay abreast of industry developments to inform analytics strategies and client recommendations.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience leading analytics teams, with a focus on delivering insights for large, sophisticated clients.
- Expertise in hypothesis-driven analysis, root cause determination, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization, dashboard creation, and executive-level reporting.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex insights to senior executives and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems of moderate to high complexity.
- Experience in the insurance, risk management, actuarial sciences, or consulting is highly desirable.

About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, with strong academic credentials
- Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint, ideally with experience in advanced analytics tools like R, Python, SQL, SAS, Power BI, or Tableau
- 7 or more years professional experience with quantitative analysis, working in a face paced, deadline driven environment
- Demonstrated experience in a client and/or market facing role
- 30-40% travel
- Bachelor's degree; 6 years professional experience with quantitative analysis.
- 3 years supervisory/management experience.
- 30-50% travel. Highly polished presentation skills.
Desired:
- Master’s/MBA degree
- Several years of experience managing a high performing analytical team
- Strong academic credentials
- Familiarity with Access or enterprise database programs a plus.

The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
