Locum Urology Physician needed for a temporary inpatient hospital assignment in Pittsfield, MA (Feb 2–Mar 31, 2026) providing general urology care and inpatient surgeries during daytime shifts without on-call duties. We are seeking a dedicated Locum Urology Physician to provide inpatient services within a dynamic hospital setting. In this vital position, you will cover a full spectrum of urology services including general urology and inpatient surgeries without on-call responsibilities. The assignment involves working during varied shifts, primarily from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in a hospital-based inpatient environment, with all inpatient care conducted onsite. You will work alongside a team of five urologists, providing high-quality services and ensuring excellent patient outcomes.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with valid licensure in Massachusetts
- Board certification or eligibility in Urology
- Proven experience in general urology and inpatient surgical procedures
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred qualifications enhancing your candidacy:
- Prior experience in hospital-based urology practice
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar electronic documentation systems
- Additional anesthesia or surgical certification(s)
Educational and professional experience:
- Completion of an accredited Urology residency program
- Prior locum or hospital-based practice experience is advantageous but not mandatory
Other requirements:
- Availability to start from February 2, 2026, through March 31, 2026
- Willingness to travel and cover expenses such as flights, accommodations, and car rentals, with reimbursements aligned with IRS standards
- Onsite laboratory services and collaboration with other urologists during the assignment
