Our client, an industry leader in warehousing and logistics, is seeking a dedicated 2nd or 3rd Shift Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations team, supporting efficient and safe handling of goods. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: 2nd or 3rd Shift Forklift Operator
Location: Decatur, AL
Pay Range: $20.00/hour
Shifts available: 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) or 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
What's the Job?
- Operate forklifts safely to load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, and storage racks
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by tracking the movement of goods and conducting regular inventory checks
- Ensure loads are balanced and secure before moving to prevent spills or accidents
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring aisles are clear and products are stored in designated areas for easy access
- Perform routine checks and maintenance on forklifts and other warehouse equipment to ensure safe operation
What's Needed?
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of inventory management processes
- Willingness to perform routine equipment maintenance
- Prior experience in warehouse operations is preferred but not required
