LVT REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
- 1+ year of clinical experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable using computers and online tools
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Team-oriented, proactive, and dependable
- Thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Passion for animal care and patient advocacy
- Availability to work every other Saturday on a rotating schedule:
- Week 1: 4 × 10-hour shifts
- Week 2: 3 × 10-hour shifts + 1 × 8-hour Saturday shift
LVT DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Triage patients and recognize medical emergencies
- Assess patients and record vitals
- Assist doctors with diagnostics and treatments
- Provide basic nursing care and patient monitoring
- Draw blood and place catheters
- Assist with and facilitate radiography
- Prepare and run in-house laboratory tests
- Prepare samples for external reference labs
- Prepare and administer medications as directed
- Monitor patient status and communicate changes to the medical team
- Support a clean, calm, and hospitable clinical environment
