Our job summary

This Shipping and Receiving role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, processing shipping documentation, and operating material-handling equipment such as forklifts. It is a full-time, first-shift position with opportunities for permanent hire at a company in Sturtevant, WI, facilitated by a staffing agency.

Position Title: Shipping and Receiving

Wage: $18.00 - $23.00/Hour

Shift: 1st Shift

Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Monday - Friday

Shipping and Receiving Responsibilities:
- Create and process bills of lading, packing slips, and related shipping documentation
- Coordinate and schedule all inbound and outbound shipments
- Load and unload trucks using appropriate equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
- Inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage
- Prepare outgoing shipments according to company and carrier requirements
- Maintain organized and accurate inventory records
- Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments as needed
- Ensure all shipping/receiving activities follow safety and quality standards

Requirements For Shipping and Receiving:
- Previous experience in shipping & receiving preferred
- Knowledge of bills of lading, packing slips, and basic logistics processes
- Ability to operate material-handling equipment (forklift certification a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift
