Job Description

As a Security Officer - Telecom Security Clearance Patrol in Mc Lean, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned tech, media, or telecom locations to help deter security-related incidents and provide a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, deliver exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and maintaining visitor logs as required.
Collaborate with site staff and other Allied Universal personnel to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
Remain alert and attentive during shifts, maintaining awareness of surroundings and potential security-related risks.

Minimum Requirements:

Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
Hold an active Department of Defense Secret clearance.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
