We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join a dynamic healthcare team near Aredale, Iowa, for a rewarding locum tenens role. Position Highlights:- Location: Near Aredale, Iowa

- Contract Length: Ongoing
- Shift Schedule: Flexible 12-hour shifts (Day: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Night: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
- Coverage: Scheduled shifts with optional on-call duties
- Patient Load: 71 patients per day on average
- Work Environment: Acute care hospital with advanced trauma capabilities (Level 3)
Position Details:- Work Schedule:
- Up to 30 shifts per month
- Both day and night shifts available
- Holidays observed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
- Team Support: Robust 30-hour advanced practice provider (APP) coverage per shift
- Patient Demographics: Infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Requirements:
- Board Certification: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Family Medicine (ABPS accepted)
- Licensure: Iowa license required or IMLC participation
- Certifications:
- Required: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (or APLS), MRT for adult and child abuse cases
- DEA License: Required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency medicine
- Charting and EMR: Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
