A Critical Care/Trauma Physician manages 2-3 critical care patients primarily in inpatient settings, working closely with hospitalists and the emergency department. They conduct clinic visits for 8-10 patients, perform urgent and emergent procedures, and provide 24/7 on-call coverage. Responsibilities include coordinating care with interventional radiology and providing backup vacation coverage.
- Rounding on 2-3 critical care patients, majority of inpatient is not CCU and is therefore managed by Hospitalist team
- Clinic frequent same day add on s in addition to scheduled patients, but typically 8-10 patients to be seen
- Procedures in clinic, thora
- Can route para to IR for week
- Only do urgent/emergent procedures during covering week
- On call 24/7 while here, again, majority managed by hospitalists/ED, but any CCU questions would be calls
- One week of vacation coverage in September (flexible on week)
- Monday 8a-Monday 8a (7 days)
- Dates: 9/11-19
