The Internal Medicine Physician provides comprehensive primary care focused on prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions for adult and family populations. Responsibilities include performing physical exams, managing chronic diseases, prescribing treatments, and coordinating patient care while ensuring compliance with medical standards. The role requires board certification, medical licensure, strong clinical skills, and proficiency with electronic health records in outpatient or hospital settings.
The Family Medicine / Internal Medicine Physician provides comprehensive primary care services to adult and/or family populations. This role focuses on preventive care, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic medical conditions while promoting overall health and wellness through patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive primary care services, including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of acute and chronic conditions
Perform routine physical examinations, preventive screenings, and health assessments
Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disorders
Prescribe medications and therapeutic interventions in accordance with clinical guidelines
Order, interpret, and review diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging
Provide patient education on disease prevention, lifestyle modification, and treatment plans
Coordinate care with specialists, hospitals, and ancillary services as needed
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation in the electronic health record
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, peer review, and clinical meetings
Adhere to regulatory, ethical, and professional standards of medical practice
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program
Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active or eligible state medical license
DEA registration or eligibility
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-based environment
Proficiency with electronic health record systems
Outpatient clinic, inpatient hospital setting, or a combination depending on practice model
Full-time or part-time schedules may be available
- Call responsibilities vary by practice
LANGUAGE:
- Must be able to fluently speak, read and write English.
- Fluent in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin), Vietnamese, Spanish and other languages may be required depending on location.
- Fluency in other languages are an asset.
