Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Health

Specialized care for individuals with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, including those experiencing behavioral disturbances.

- Facility Capacity: 24-bed unit designed to provide a safe, structured, and supportive environment.
- Staffing Ratio: 1 caregiver for every 6 residents, ensuring personalized attention and quality care.
- Population Served: Exclusively geriatric residents, ages 50 and above.

$20,000 sign-on bonus available for qualified applicants

Schedule:

3x12 hour shifts one week and 3x12 hour shifts the next week, Nights (7p - 7a), rotating weekends. This position is located in Etowah, TN.

How you'll contribute:

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

· Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.

· Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.

· Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.

· Documents patient care given.

· Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.

· Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.

· Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

· Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

· Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What we're looking for:
Applicants should have a current Tennessee Registered Nurse license. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required at the time of hire
• Education-Associates Degree in Nursing
