Job Opportunity: Locum Physician - General Medicine
Join a dedicated team providing essential healthcare to our nation's veterans in the vibrant city of Houston, Arkansas. This opportunity involves performing Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments in a supportive environment, whether in your own practice or at a local facility.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct interview-based exams with some physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
- Perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments.
- Work on a PRN basis with options for half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts.
- Complete all necessary documentation and reports efficiently, including addendums and medical opinions.
- Utilize a laptop to enter and manipulate data (no Mac/Apple products applicable).
- Engage with veterans in a compassionate and respectful manner, ensuring their needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Must be board certified in a relevant specialty (family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or general medicine experience).
- Proficiency in METs testing, respiratory, and cardiovascular evaluation and diagnosis.
- Willingness to complete DMA training to obtain certification.
- Experience with Compensation & Pension processes preferred.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Active and unrestricted full medical license in Arkansas.
- AANP certification required.
- Must have a valid license number and certification number for documentation.
