Job Description:
Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients ranging from birth to geriatric, as ordered by physicians. Follow all department policies and maintain all related equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for all respiratory care ordered by physicians
- Operate, maintain, and monitor respiratory equipment such as ventilators and oxygen devices
- Administer inhaled medications and prescribed gases
- Perform arterial, capillary, and venous sticks for blood gas analysis
- Document patient assessments, care plans, and respiratory treatments
- Ensure accuracy of physician orders in Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Perform EKGs upon order or request
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
