Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - PCU
Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend requirement may be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Patient ratios typically 1:5
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Ventilator experience required for chronic trach and vent patients
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
• Must be comfortable with cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Perform IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central/peripheral line care
• Administer medications including cardiac drips (no titration)
• Provide respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and non-invasive airway management
• Handle Rapid Response and Code team activation
• Work on hybrid unit consisting of 10 PCU beds and 2 ICU beds
• Care for patients with DKA, COPD, sepsis, suicide/overdose, chronic respiratory failure, and renal failure
• Floating required within skillset
• May work without CNA support
• Remote telemetry monitoring on unit
