Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) night shift position requiring recent critical care experience and current BLS and ACLS certifications.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU/Stepdown) within a hospital setting
- Options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour night shifts
- Some weekend and holiday shifts are required
- 13-week assignment with possible extension
- Minimal to no time off during contract
- Royal blue scrubs are required and not provided
- Duties include managing intermediate care/stepdown patients, titrating critical drips, starting IVs, and collecting laboratory samples
- Assignment start date is typically 3 weeks from offer
- Candidates must have required documents ready, including a driver’s license and social security number
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- At least one year of recent critical care and ICU experience
- Ability to start and titrate critical drips, perform IV starts, and collect lab samples
- Two professional references required for consideration
- Previous travel experience is preferred
- Will not accept candidates who live within 30 miles of the facility
- Candidates living 31-50 miles from the facility have adjusted pay rates
