Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization/Electrophysiology lab providing direct adult patient care during invasive cardiac procedures, maintaining equipment and supplies, assisting physicians and monitoring patient condition, and participating in quality improvement. Requires RN licensure (compact acceptable), ACLS/CPR certifications, physical stamina, and preferably 3+ years of fast-paced cardiac/EP/cath lab experience; BSN preferred. Role includes inventory/equipment readiness, patient positioning/monitoring during procedures, and teamwork in a hospital setting with standard benefits.

OverviewProvides direct patient care to all patient populations; excluding pediatrics. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with the physician continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of equipment and inventory. Assesses procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the EP, Specials, and Cardiac Cath Lab team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities.

Qualifications
Education: Registered Nurse, BSN preferred but not required.
Licensure: Registered Nurse or compact state licensure in the applicable state of practice.
Experience:
Certifications: ACLS, CPR
Physical Requirements:
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
