Coverage Details Specialties Needed: Hospitalist, Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Practice Setting: Inpatient Start Date: ASAP Reason for Coverage: Increased patient volume End Date: Ongoing Average Patients Per Shift: 15-20 Call and Shift Details Call Type: Beeper Average Call Responses: 0-10 phone consults per day Call Ratio: 0 (No admissions required) Average Time in House: 10 hours (8 AM - 6 PM) On-Call Hours: 6 PM - 8 AM (14 hours) Average Callback Overnight: 1-3 times per week Facility and Practice Information Bed Capacity: 239 beds in the department EMR System: Epic Temporary Privileges Available: Yes Stroke Certified: Yes Provider Requirements Board Certification Required: Yes (Must be board-eligible) Fellowship Required: Not applicable Licensing Requirement: None specified Certifications Required: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Other Certifications: No ABLS, ATLS, BLS, or PALS required Support Staff Advanced Practice Provider Supervision: Yes (1 PA/NP) Nursing Staff: Not required Specialty Skills Required Gastroenterology Procedures: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeder) ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography) Colonoscopy (with biopsy, excision of polyp) Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) Liver biopsy Other Details The facility has 24-hour availability for various support services, including anesthesia, general surgery, and radiology.
