An Infectious Disease Physician provides expert consultation and treatment for infectious diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including HIV, Hepatitis C, and wound care. They contribute to infection prevention, antimicrobial stewardship, hospital epidemiology, and actively participate in hospitalist programs and shared call schedules. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, teaching, research, and high-quality patient care within a supportive health system.

Reporting to the Division Director of Infectious Disease, the Specialist will be part of a department with responsibilities that include:
• Inpatient consultations between two hospitals
• Outpatient consultation including outpatient HIV and Hepatitis C patient treatment
• Wound Care and Antimicrobial stewardship
• Assist with activities of Infection Prevention and the hospital epidemiology programs
• Active Hospitalist program to care for inpatients
• Shared call with other ID physicians
