Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology
Job Details:
• Work 3x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday through Friday
• No floating, on-call, or weekend requirements
• Prepare correct radiopharmaceutical dosages and administer to patients
• Operate imaging equipment to scan requested body areas
• Explain procedures to patients and provide reassurance to nervous or fearful patients
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure safe operation
• Work with adult patient population in single room nuclear medicine department
• Required certifications: BLS, CNMT, ARRT N
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification (NMT cert) required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Skills include: GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens, Toshiba equipment, HIDA Scan, 3 Phase, Limited, Whole Body, DTPA Aerosol, Perfusion, Ventilation/Perfusion, Cancer Survey, I-123 Uptake Scan, Uptake Scan, Pharmacological Stress, Thallium stress test, Isolation Precautions, Starting and maintaining IVs, Storing/Handling/Disposal of Radioactive Materials
• Epic experience preferred
• May float to other locations if census is low on home unit
• Valid California license required at time of submission
• Must be available for lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Copy of certifications required (all certs must be AHA and in hand at submittal)
• Orientation includes non-billable modules averaging 1-5 hours completed through e-learning
