Experienced Geriatrics Nurse Practitioner providing specialized care to homebound elderly patients in King and Pierce counties. Skilled in diagnosing and treating common geriatric conditions including dementia, cardiovascular and neurodegenerative diseases. Responsibilities include prescribing treatments, managing patient records, ordering tests, and coordinating with medical specialists while working hybrid day shifts.
Shifts: Days (Mon-Fri)
The schedule includes day shifts with 3 clinical days, 1 administrative day, and 3 days off, along with rotational on-call weekends. On-call duties are conducted via phone only
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner specializing in the care of homebound geriatric patients in the PIERCE and KING COUNTY county regions. The Ideal candidates should have a passion for treating the geriatric population and should be well-versed in the common conditions that are presented in this demographic, such as dementia, cardiovascular disease, endocrinological conditions, neuro degenerative diseases, to name a few.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury as per the process and requirement
• Complete all relevant details in the EMR reports depending upon formats.
• Order and interpret tests and analyzing records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition.
• Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
• Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results through the clinical management system
Qualification/Experience:
• Master's degree or Doctorate Degree as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum 2-3 Years of experience working with Geriatric Population
• New Graduates are also accepted
Licenses/Certifications:
• Current license to practice as an Advance Practise Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
• Active DEA License
