Details:

• BC/BE Hematologist Oncologist to join a distinguished team of 7.
• Work closely with patients and their families to help them understand the cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and the potential side effects of treatment.
• Lead a cancer treatment team of various healthcare professionals
• Coordinate treatment plans and prescribe various types of treatment, including chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy
• Respond to medical and oncologic emergencies in clinics
• Actively participant in the Department of Medicine and the Division of Medical Oncology by attending Divisional meetings, tumor board, and Department of Medicine Grand Rounds during your administrative time
• Perform bone marrow biopsies and other procedures as needed.
• Design and participate in clinical trials research with enrollment of patients into research studies
• Participate in ongoing multidisciplinary system specific conferences.
• We carefully monitor each patient during ongoing treatments, and meet weekly with a multidisciplinary team of other doctors to review cases.
• Patients have the option to participate in leading cancer trials years before they are FDA approved.

Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered multidisciplinary oncology care.
• BE/BC with excellent clinical training
• Experience in general oncology including hematology and solid tumors
• Training in benign hematology is also a preference
