This locum tenens position seeks a board-certified critical care anesthesiologist in Connecticut to provide coverage primarily during night and weekend shifts in a 30-bed clinical setting including ICU and step-down beds. The role involves performing procedures such as ultrasound-guided line placements, bronchoscopy, intubation, and thoracentesis, supporting a patient volume of about 23 daily. The physician must hold an active Connecticut license or participate in the IMLC and collaborate with multidisciplinary staff using EMR EPIC systems.
Coverage Needed November - Ongoing Schedule 7P to 7A 7A - 7P Nights and Weekends 7-15 Shifts per month Clinical Details Beds- 15 core. 15 flex (meaning they are step down but can become ICU beds) Procedures: ultrasound guided Central line placement, ultrasound guided arterial line, bronchoscopy, Intubation, diagnostic and therapeutic thoracentesis (optional but preferred), paracentesis Patient Volume: Average 23 (25% often step down) Ages seen: 16 + Requirements Board Certified in CC Active CT License or IMLC Must be willing to work nights Support Staff Nighttime APP Residents Excellent nursing staff EMR EPIC
