A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) provides anesthetic care in hospital settings, managing anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence. They ensure patient consent and communicate anesthetic options and risks effectively. The role requires licensure, specialized certification, and involves care across diverse surgical specialties including cardiac, neuro, and pediatrics.
Responsibilities include, obtaining and/or verifying patient consent, discussing anesthetic options and risks with the patient, induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Requirements: current license as a registered nurse, graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia, certified or recertified by the National Board of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

- 40 hours, customizable schedule (2 8s and 2 12s, 5 8s, etc)
- Cases: General, Ortho, Neuro, EP, Vascular, Thoracic, Cardiac (open heart), Bariatrics, Endoscopy, OB, Ophthalmology, and limited Pediatrics
