Job Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care setting, requiring Illinois PT license and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Position is in an acute care therapy department
• Patient care is delivered Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Work involves inpatient acute care patient population
• Use of EPIC for charting is required
• Position requires experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
• Designs and adjusts patient-centered care plans based on clinical findings and responses
• Performs patient evaluations, patient transfers, and selects appropriate interventions
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective methods
• Responsible for documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards
• Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians as per regulatory guidelines
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Time off must not exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Past employees may not return until a 6-month break has been observed after a year of continuous assignment
• Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment

Requirements

• Illinois Physical Therapist license required; license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience is required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• New graduates will be considered
