Hospitalist Opportunity in Waterloo, IA Full TimePermanent Position Join a dedicated Hospitalist team in Waterloo, IA with approximately 35% of shifts Medical Center. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive inpatient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. Position Highlights: Schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off rotating schedule Manage patients through the continuum of hospital care, including ER admissions, critical care, and post-acute care planning Perform thorough patient evaluations, analyze diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans Prescribe and administer medications, therapies, and specialized medical care Collaborate with medical and surgical consultants, discharge planners, and other hospital staff Act as the principal contact for hospital patients and their families, providing clear explanations and updates Oversee and provide medical direction for Advanced Practice Providers Participate in Code Blue resuscitations and place central lines in elective, urgent, and emergent situations Maintain communication with referring physicians and ensure smooth transitions of care Requirements: Medical Degree (MD or DO) Completion of an ACGME- or AOA-accredited Internal Medicine residency program Valid Iowa medical license Compensation and Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package Supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth
