The Pathology Physician provides medical directorship and interpretation of surgical and cytology specimens in accredited laboratories, participates in tumor boards and cancer committees, and supports teaching residents and medical students. The role involves specimen processing including frozen sections and special stains, as well as compliance inspections for laboratory accreditation. - Medical directorship of laboratory sites is shared between Pathologists
- CLIA and CAP or COLA accredited labs
- Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Overview of Position Responsibilities:
- Interpreting Surgical and Cytology specimens daily
- Grossing of Specimens (histologists perform grossing of small specimens)
- Frozen Sections Procedures
- Immunohistochemistry/Special Stains
- Tumor Board/Cancer Center Committee participation
- Medical Directorship for Site Location Labs
- Involvement in/and performing CAP Inspections
- Teaching Residents/Medical Students as needed
