- Surgical Technology Certification preferred or required within 1 year
- Ability to stand/walk for prolonged periods and lift/move patients/equipment

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Perioperative Surgical Technologist Specialty Lead partners with the RN Specialty Coordinator to organize patient care activities and serves as the primary Surgical Technologist clinical resource to the Operating Room team in the designated specialty(s) to provide high quality surgical care. The Surgical Tech Specialty Lead supports the overall coordination of the surgical specialty and actively collaborates with physicians and staff to facilitate the dynamic environment of perioperative services. The Surgical Tech Specialty Lead will also support coordination of competency-based experiences to Surgical Technologist and onboarding of Surgical Technologists at Yale New Haven Hospital.
