Registered Nurse - CVOR
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour shifts Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Call requirements for all travelers in cardiac surgery
• Days during the week will vary depending on unit needs - block schedule not available
• Must be able to scrub and circulate cardiac surgeries, specifically heart and lung transplants
• Minimum 2 years CVOR OR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience required
• Handle all case types including neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• Work with adult patient population only - no pediatrics
• Patient diagnoses include open heart, transplant, and trauma/neuro cases
• May float between OR units but not locations
• Call rotation distributed fairly among all staff
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Orientation dates: 1/26, 2/2, 2/9 only

This major academic medical center is a 1000+ bed hospital featuring a comprehensive 56-bed operating room suite for both inpatient and outpatient procedures, plus 5 procedural rooms. As a Level 1 trauma center, the facility provides advanced surgical services across all specialties and serves as a leading transplant center. The organization maintains state-of-the-art surgical facilities including hybrid rooms and robotic surgery capabilities, with a separate children's hospital for pediatric cases.
