Our client, a leading organization in the packaging industry, is seeking a Junior Graphic Packaging Designer to join their team. As a Junior Graphic Packaging Designer, you will be part of the Creative Department supporting the Sales and Production teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Junior Graphic Packaging Designer
Location: Wilmington, MA
Pay Range: $24 - $25 an hour
***This is a hybrid job opportunity with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office, with up to 5 days in office during the onboarding period
What's the Job?
- Create and update packaging layouts across multiple product categories to ensure consistency and quality.
- Build in-house mockups to support line reviews and meet customer requests effectively.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with project timelines and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure packaging graphics comply with R&D, Legal, and QA standards, including accurate copy verification.
- Collaborate directly with global print vendors to prepare mechanical and print-ready files for production.
What's Needed?
- Associates degree (2-year) in a related graphics field.
- Minimum of 1+ years of professional experience in packaging design with solid understanding of the packaging industry, including dielines, UPCs, materials, and finishes.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Illustrator and Photoshop, with skills in image compression, file correction, and optimization.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- A strong graphic design foundation with expertise in color, typography, and composition.
- A portfolio showcasing professional packaging design work (required).
