American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ER Holding position in Ohio, requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and an active OH or compact license.
Responsibilities- Work in an ER Holding unit serving pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
- Night shift schedule: three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Patient ratio is 1:4
- Care involves telemetry, PCU/stepdown, and management of complex cases
- Uses EPIC for documentation
- Responsibilities include caring for a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ER holding environment
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after accepting a contract
- Locals are accepted for this position at the same rate
- Former employees may be considered if separated from the facility for at least 6 months
- Current employees of the Ohio State University Hospital system are not eligible for travel assignments
- Requested time off must be included at the time of contract submission
- Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
- Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia management
- Ability to manage IV insulin/heparin protocols, renal failure, drips (including titration), blood products, tracheostomy care, rapid response, wound vacs, and non-invasive airway management
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
- Two professional references required with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor
