American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT (R)(CT) certification, and strong IV skills for a night shift position in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities- Position is in an acute care setting within the CT (Computed Tomography) department
- Department operates 3 scanners: 1 GE REV CT and 2 GE REV HD
- Handles all routine CT exams for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients
- Procedures include cardiac CT, biopsy/drain, cryo/microwave ablations, and trauma imaging
- Average volume of 65-70 scans per 24 hours across 3 scanners
- Occasional float to X-ray for ED, inpatient, and outpatient coverage as needed
- Uses EPIC EMR and SECTRA PACS; experience with these systems preferred
- Night shifts are Friday to Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM; shift and schedule may vary based on facility needs
- Call is optional with a 45-minute response time if accepted
- Job duties include routine and specialized CT imaging, trauma scans, and support for biopsies and ablations
- Team structure includes an imaging supervisor and shift/modality lead technologists
- Department orientation typically provided during the first three days
- Professional appearance required; any color scrubs are acceptable except in the OR where hospital-provided scrubs are required
- Radiologist on-site 24/7 for imaging review and support
- Holiday shifts may be required if scheduled
- Profile review and phone interview with unit manager are part of the hiring process
- Previous direct employment with any CommonSpirit facility within the past year makes candidates ineligible
- Travelers need permanent residence outside the specified facility radius in select states per facility rules
- Minimum of 2 years recent CT technologist experience in an acute care setting
- Active ARRT RT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active state license required at the time of consideration; license required if applicable
- Strong IV skills needed for outpatient procedures
- Ability to perform all routine CT exams and trauma imaging
- Must be able to start and manage IVs for contrast studies
- Experience with EPIC EMR and SECTRA PACS preferred
- Radiation badge required before starting assignment
- Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
- Two professional references required, including one supervisor from the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the past 3 years
