We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to oversee our construction projects from the ground up, ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and adherence to project timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a particular focus on field supervision, self-perform carpentry, and self-perform concrete. Responsibilities
As a Permanent Construction Superintendent, you will:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including the coordination of construction work, ensuring it's in line with project plans and specifications.
2. Supervise on-site construction team, subcontractors and vendors, ensuring high-quality work while adhering to the project timeline and budget.
3. Carry out self-perform carpentry and concrete tasks, demonstrating hands-on expertise and leadership.
4. Implement safety protocols and quality control measures, ensuring compliance with local regulations and standards.
5. Resolve any on-site issues or disputes, ensuring smooth progress of the construction project.
6. Maintain constant communication with clients, architects, and engineers, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns promptly.
7. Carry out regular site inspections, identifying and mitigating potential hazards and ensuring the site is kept clean and organized.
8. Prepare and submit project reports, keeping the management team informed of the project status.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role in the construction industry.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field.
3. Proven experience in managing construction projects from inception to completion.
4. Demonstrated skills in self-perform carpentry and self-perform concrete.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
6. Strong knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve on-site issues effectively and efficiently.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and team members.
9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity.
