Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Monday through Friday day shift role requiring an active CA license and BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Position is in a rehabilitation therapy setting
- Typical patient load is 8-9 patients per day with 1 hour for evaluations and 45 minutes for follow-up appointments
- No double booking of patients
- Works under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy
- Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm with no weekends
- Responsible for directing and administering physical therapy services and coordinating department operations
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
- Involves family in patient teaching and plan of care where appropriate
- Adheres to infection control standards and maintains a safe environment
- Participation in ongoing performance improvement and professional society activities is expected
- Must demonstrate professional behavior and effective teamwork
- Dress code requires neat and professional appearance
Requirements
- Active California Physical Therapist license required if applicable
- Current BLS/BCLS certification required
- Experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes
- Basic computer skills and ability to use Microsoft Office Applications
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
