• Job Title: PACU Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Contract
• Location: Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs)
• Unit: Perianesthesia - 4 Rhodes / Doan (PACU)
• Start Date: January 12, 2026
• End Date: April 13, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift; 4x10-hour shifts/week (23:00 - 07:30)
• Weekend Requirements: 1-2 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2040-$2090
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 20 beds; daily census 30-50
• Self-scheduling available

PACU RN Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU or critical care RN experience
• Active Registered Nurse license (compact or Ohio state license required)
• Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Proficiency with telemetry, ventilators, and electronic charting systems
• Ability to provide two professional references (one from a manager/director or supervisor)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

PACU Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate post-anesthesia care in a Level 1 Trauma PACU setting
• Monitor and assess patient recovery, including vital signs, pain management, and consciousness levels
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage IV and central lines
• Utilize advanced nursing skills: telemetry, ventilator management, dysrhythmia recognition, and care of ventilated patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, pharmacy, and rapid response
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
• Participate in self-scheduling and adhere to weekend and holiday coverage requirements
