Location:William Street (NYC) with floating to Jersey City, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM (1-hour unpaid meal break)
Holidays: Off on Port Authority holidays
Compensation: $40–$44/hour (all-inclusive)
We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (Psych / Occupational Health) to support the Port Authority employee health program. This role includes clinical assessments, physical evaluations, and wellness activities for Port Authority/PATH employees. The RN must be able to work onsite at William Street, NY, and float to Jersey City, NJ as required.
Responsibilities- Conduct assessments related to injury-on-duty evaluations, including reviewing doctors’ notes and test results
- Schedule fitness-for-duty evaluations and coordinate appointment logistics
- Perform annual physical evaluations for employees
- Conduct pre-placement physicals for new hires
- Participate in employee health wellness and safety fairs at various NY/NJ Port Authority facilities
- Answer phone calls, check voicemail, and respond appropriately
- Monitor Medical Assistants to ensure proper administration of required DOT testing
- Review documentation for accuracy and completion for PA Physician/Physician Assistant evaluation
- Ensure all new hires are evaluated and assessed in a timely manner
- Participate in Family Day at Newark Liberty International Airport’s Annual Safety Day (typically in September on a Saturday), providing blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol screenings
- Licensure: Active RN license in New York or New Jersey
- Experience: Minimum 6months to1 year experience in occupational health and/or medical-surgical nursing
- Psych experience preferred
- Ability to perform comprehensive clinical assessments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Must be able to float between NY and NJ locations as needed
- Clinical/occupational health setting supporting Port Authority employees
- Onsite role at William Street (NYC) with required floating to Jersey City, NJ
- Interaction with employees, Medical Assistants, Physicians, and Physician Assistants
