Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Details:

• 1:1 patient ratios for all shifts
• 1-2 years of cardiovascular operating room experience required
• Experience required circulating heart, lung, thoracic and vascular procedures
• On-call required approximately 10 days per month
• Weekend call required
• Holiday shifts and charge RN assignments as needed
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• Regular floating required between departments, units and facilities
• Must have Kansas and Missouri licenses or compact license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Navy scrubs required
• Epic charting system
• Free parking provided
• 30-hour orientation with additional 10-15 hours of compliance modules
• Daily census of 6-10 surgeries in 6 operating rooms
• Required skills include: Atrial Septal defect repair, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, TAVR, fire safety, cell saver operation, blood product administration, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling, universal protocol procedures, and wound management
• Experience in open heart surgery and vascular surgery required
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates within 75-mile radius not accepted
