As a Locum Tenens Gastroenterologist, you'll work in an outpatient clinic and hospital setting, providing comprehensive care tailored to adults. Key responsibilities include performing advanced gastroenterology procedures such as ERCP, colonoscopy, and endoscopic ultrasound. You will work primarily on weekdays with office hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, alongside night and weekend call responsibilities. The position is located in Fortuna, CA, with opportunities for travel and housing stipends for non-local candidates.

- Weekdays: Office days from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch
- Night Call: 5:00 PM - 7:30/7:40 AM
- Weekend Call: 24-hour coverage
- Patient Population: Adult

- Conduct detailed patient assessments and diagnoses
- Perform advanced GI procedures, including ERCP and endoscopic ultrasound
- Manage patient treatment plans and follow-ups
- Maintain detailed patient records
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology within 5 years of residency
- Active CA license and DEA
- ERCP and fluro (temporary licenses accepted initially) required
- BLS certification
- Guaranteed 8 hours per weekday with OT after 9 hours
- Night call responsibilities
- Preapproved OT required
- Proficiency in upper and lower GI endoscopies, including biopsies and polyp excisions
- Ability to interpret esophageal manometry
- Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities in GI procedures
- Strong communication and organizational skills
