Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering appropriate patient care across all stages of growth and development, from pediatrics to geriatrics. The role emphasizes systematic and comprehensive patient assessments, effective clinical skills, and adherence to safety and documentation guidelines.
Responsibilities- Perform thorough assessments and deliver competent nursing care tailored to the unit population.
- Maintain documentation according to established guidelines, ensuring accuracy in patient progress and outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative environment focused on patient and family satisfaction, maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA standards.
- Adhere to national patient safety goals and standard protocols for patient identification and safe practices.
- Specialize in pre-operative and post-operative care, providing education tailored to surgical procedures and patient needs.
- Support the perioperative team by prioritizing and directing patient care based on needs and conditions.
- Evaluate and ensure the appropriateness of patient testing in the context of proposed surgery and health status.
- 1 year of experience in Critical Care/Cardiac or Emergency Department required.
- BLS certification is required.
- RN License is required.
- ACLS certification is required.
- PALS certification is required for positions in pediatric emergency rooms only.
