Cox Automotive's Central Dispatch is seeking a Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for our data and analytics platform teams. In this role, you'll own the product roadmap for teams responsible for data ingestion, transformation, and delivery that powers reporting and insights across our business.
This role requires strong ownership, proactive problem-solving, and excellent stakeholder management skills. You'll work independently to manage priorities, build credibility with business partners, and ensure data teams are delivering high-value solutions. You'll partner with engineering leadership to shape our data strategy and help establish best practices for how data considerations are incorporated into product development across the organization. Compensation:
Compensation includes a base salary of $87,200.00 - $130,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

PRIMARY DUTIES/KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides Product Management support for data platform and analytics products, taking initiative to identify and solve problems proactively while building strong stakeholder relationships across the organization.
- Leverages customer feedback, business strategy, data/analytics, user experience and technology to create positive, effective experiences for internal business users and data consumers.
- Represents data requirements to drive feature implementation and development with data engineering teams, ensuring business needs are translated into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Leads sprint planning and backlog management, maintaining comprehensive documentation and ensuring engineering teams have well-groomed, prioritized work ready for execution.
- Partners with engineering leadership to shape data strategy, pushing to be involved earlier in product discovery across the organization to ensure data considerations are incorporated upstream.
- Defines and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) for data quality, pipeline reliability, and business value delivered, identifying opportunities for improvement based on analysis.
- Manages stakeholder communication and expectations throughout data migrations, large-scale initiatives, and ongoing product development, ensuring transparency and building trust through consistent follow-through.
- Coordinates cross-functional efforts to resolve data product issues and supports problem resolution, creating clear documentation and communication plans for business partners.
- Partners with team members and other product stakeholders to develop business case documentation and prioritization frameworks for data initiatives.
- Identifies and ensures appropriate dissemination of lessons learned, coordinating and facilitating communication and an open flow of creative ideas between interested parties and stakeholders.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field.
- 2 years of experience in Product Management
- Foundational skills in managing multiple priorities, requirements analysis, system and technology integration and technology savvy.
- Acts with integrity and has foundational skills in building partnerships, driving innovation, focusing on execution and striving for excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong self-direction and ownership mentality; comfortable operating with ambiguity and taking initiative without constant oversight.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with a track record of building credibility and trust in cross-functional environments; comfortable with high visibility and active engagement with business partners.
- Strong product management fundamentals including backlog grooming, sprint planning, user story writing, and maintaining comprehensive documentation as standard practice.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Understanding of data concepts including databases, data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, data warehousing, and data quality principles; ability to have informed technical conversations with data engineers.
- Prior experience with data products, analytics platforms, BI tools, or reporting systems.
- SQL or other technical data skills.
- Experience as the primary or sole PM supporting engineering teams.
- Background in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering transitioning to product management.
