Locum Tenens Opportunity: Gastroenterologist near Salt Lake City, UT We are currently seeking multiple board-certified Gastroenterologists for a locum tenens assignment near Salt Lake City, Utah. This is an exciting opportunity to provide crucial gastroenterology care while enjoying the flexibility and work-life balance that locum tenens offers. Position Details: Location: Near Salt Lake City, UT Start Date: October 2024 Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Setting: Outpatient clinic and procedure coverage Duration: Ongoing need with potential for long-term coverage Number of Providers Needed: 2-3 Key Responsibilities: Provide clinic and procedure coverage Perform general GI cases, including EGD, EVS Procedures typically scheduled from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM, followed by outpatient clinic consults and follow-ups from 12:30 PM - 4:30 PM Work with support staff including MAs, RNs, Echo Techs, Lab Techs, Nuclear Techs, and X-ray Techs EMR training required (EPIC) Job Requirements: Board Certification: Gastroenterology (ABIM/ABMS) Licensure: Active Utah license highly preferred, but locum providers with the ability to quickly obtain licensure are welcome Certifications: Active BLS and DEA required for credentialing Fellowship: Gastroenterology fellowship required Experience: Previous experience with EMR systems (EPIC) is preferred, with training required prior to starting Background: Clean malpractice and background required, with an NPDB self-inquiry report submitted Availability: Candidates must disclose start date and the number of shifts they can offer per month This is a fantastic opportunity to practice in a beautiful location near Salt Lake City, with competitive compensation and flexible scheduling options.
