Per Diem
Position Summary Members of the Paramedic Education Program faculty are responsible for providing student instruction
in the classroom (didactic), laboratory, and/or clinical settings.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities Utilize a variety of instructional modalities to instruct students in the classroom, laboratory, and/or clinical settings. Aid in the development of lesson plans, course materials, and course documents. Aid in the development and administration of formative and summative student evaluations. Participate in item analysis and item review of high-stakes examinations. Participate in long-term program planning activities. Participate in advisory committee meetings. Set up and break down equipment required for skills labs. Ensure student safety at all times. Objectively grade students on psychomotor skill performance. Supervise and evaluate student performance during field experience shifts. Adhere to all Core Values (Compassion, Pursue Excellence, Cooperation and Collaboration, Upholds Honesty, and Supports Innovation). Adhere to all Absolutes (Privacy and Confidentiality, Professional Appearance, and Responsibility and Commitment). All other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
● CT Paramedic license ● Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
Preferred Qualifications
● Associate’s degree or higher ● CT EMS-Instructor certification ● AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor certification ● NAEMT PHTLS instructor certification
