Job Description
American Traveler seeks an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night shift position in Colorado requiring at least one year of specialty experience and EPIC charting proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Work in the Labor & Delivery unit of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
- Patient population includes laboring and postpartum women
- Expected to float to other departments within scope based on business needs
- Epic EMR is used and previous Epic experience is required
- Provide nursing care, education, and support for patients throughout the labor and delivery process
- Independently assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions
- Teamwork required; may float to other units as needed
- On-call may be required during scheduled shifts
- First-time travelers will be considered for this assignment
- Must complete background check and drug screening within specified timeframe
Requirements
- Active CO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
- Minimum of one year recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with at least an ASN
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, NRP, or PALS as appropriate for Labor & Delivery are preferred
- No pending licenses accepted at time of consideration
