Job Details:
• Day/Evening/Night rotating shift schedule with on-call and callback responsibilities
• Float to different units as needed
• Work holidays and weekends per unit needs
• Provide nursing care for a wide variety of surgical patients including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma
• Work in a level 1 trauma center environment
• Assist with specialty cases including transplants (liver, kidney, heart), plastics, and reconstructive surgeries
• Support craniotomy procedures and maintain strong orthopedic background
• Operate with 2 Davinci robots used by multi-services
• Must be able to both scrub and circulate
• New York state RN license required (NY license ONLY)
• Two years OR experience in a level 1 trauma center preferred
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association ONLY)
• ACLS certification preferred
